BIO Francis Gurry was Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), an international organization and specialized agency of the United Nations, from 2008 to 2020. He holds an LL.B. and LL.M from the University of Melbourne and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. Currently, he is Vice Chair of the World Internet Conference (WIC), Honorary Dean of the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University, a member of the Board of Trustees of Tongji University, and Overseas Dean of Nanjing Audit University.
