The Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence provided in its report a valuable opportunity to understand the ongoing struggles faced both by survivors of domestic violence, and by those seeking to enforce laws that are targeted at stamping it out. The Victorian Government accepted all 227 of the Royal Commission’s recommendations. In her address, the Hon. Marcia Neave shall consider the path forward to prevent family violence and protect those affected. The address shall cover both law and social policy solutions, and the practical intersection of the two, in the complex and nuanced field of addressing the largely hidden crisis of ongoing family violence.
